Internship and Clinical Education E-mail

No professional education can be complete without clinical education. NLSIU has integrated the clinical method of education along with classroom teaching. It develops various skills like communication and analysis and helps in assimilation of knowledge. The academic calendar is divided into three trimesters of three months each and the rest of the three months are used by students to undergo practical training during vacations. Practical training is optional for the students of first year and second year while it is mandatory for students from the third year onwards to undertake an internship for a minimum period of six weeks each year. It exposes the students to different types of legal work in courts, corporate firms, lawyers' chambers, quasi-judicial bodies, etc. Practical training teaches professional skills and ethics. It also trains the students to apply the theoretical knowledge obtained during classroom teaching.
