The batch of 2010 is known for its academic excellence and sincerity towards all educational pursuits. Its students have not only excelled in all mandatory and optional disciplines taught in law school but they have also won accolades for the institution in several mooting, debating, client counselling and negotiation simulations held in India and internationally. One of its members has been awarded the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship and others have left their mark in competitions such as the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, Washington, All Asian Interuniversity Debating Championship, Dhaka and International Negotiation Competition, London.
The students of the batch of 2010 have been involved in several research projects like review of corporate law in India in association with the Securities and Exchange Board of India and preparation of the course curriculum and modules for the Distance Education Programme undertaken at law school. Several of its members have published educational articles in prominent national and international legal journals and a number of its students are actively involved in provision of legal aid and pro bono litigation assistance from within NLSIU.
The batch has also been the upholder and pioneer of several long-standing traditions in law school. Everything from the organization of the biggest rock-fest in the country for two successive years to the success of the Louis M. Brown International Client Counselling Competition, 2008 and the achievement of bringing together almost all national law schools for a sports fest can be attributed to the multi-faceted and brilliant students of this batch. All students are members of the Student Bar Association of the National Law School of India University, which undertakes to develop all round skills of its members. The batch of 2010 is proud that every one of its members has been able to recognize their area of passion and has endeavored to strive towards excellence in everything they have embarked on.
